Pam is known for a warm, relaxed, and comfortable approach to counseling. Pam is an Integrative Psychotherapist, utilizing a variety of orientations and therapies, according to the client’s individual needs. Her approach involves genuine caring, acceptance, and a non-judgmental ear. She supports individuals through difficult times in their lives, and works with a wide range of issues including, but not limited to – depression, anxiety, traumatic stress, unresolved emotional issues, weight loss and body image, self-esteem/self-empowerment, grief and loss of a loved one (including a beloved pet), relationship/family concerns, life transitions, LGBTQ, individual counseling for personal and emotional growth, and helping to create more meaning and purpose in one’s life.
Pam graduated with high honors from Rhode Island College School of Social Work, where she received both her Bachelor and Master of Social Work degrees. She is a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker. Pam has extensive training and experience in the unique challenges of females. She trained in the treatment of traumatic stress at the The Trauma Center of JRI in Brookline, MA. She has participated in intensive trainings in Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction and Mindful Eating at The UMASS Medical School Center for Mindfulness, as well as Perfect Health: Ayurvedic Lifestyle trainings at The Deepak Chopra Center in Carlsbad, CA.
